Where are we going

Matt and I told the kids we were going for a surprise on their day off from school. We got up Friday morning and got in the car driving to Omaha, the kids thought we were going to Omaha and when we got to the airport we played a Disney CD for a hint. Saylor was very surprised and Tagg told us he knew were we were going. While we were at the Magic Kingdom, we went to a Halloween party the lasted from 7-midnight. There was trick-or-treating, no lines for the rides and characters in halloween costumes. Tagg discovered that he loved roller coasters and Saylor learned that she HATED them.

Surprise.

Disney's MGM park is now called Disney Hollywood Park, and they have a Star Wars area that was very impressive. As some of you know, my kids are semi-obsessed with the movies and characters so this was really amazing to be a part of. Besides a ride and a speeder bike to pose on, there is an hourly show with a Jedi conducting Jedi training. The first show we went to Tagg was picked to be one of ten students to be given Jedi lessons and fight Darth Vader with a light saber. He was on stage but hated every minute of it, much to the dismay of Matt, he did tough it out and battled Darth. The next day Saylor wanted her turn and it took 3 shows before she was chosen. It was a dream come true or maybe a nightmare come true for Tagg.

Matt's grandmother came for a wonderful visit! We had a great time spending lots of time together and showing her some of our talents!

I forgot to post in July that Tagg lost his first tooth! What a bad mom that I forgot to put up a picture earlier.

More of the Beach

We took a break from the sun and sand today to get Dad some new glasses, Sarah and I noticed that Dad was living in a virtual fog of scratches on his old frames. After some persuading, we came up with these.

Greetings from South Carolina

Hi, the kids and I are in Myrtle Beach SC spending sometime relaxing and enjoying the scenery. Matt drove us out her and spent a few days here and then flew home to work. Next, Sarah and Lucy flew out followed by Dad. Sarah and Lucy are already back in Iowa and tomorrow MIMI comes from Nebraska. It is such a break to do nothing.
