So, May is crazy for kids and the families that provide the transportation to them. Friday was the 3rd grade class bike ride and Matt was able to take the day off from work and go for a ride with them. I only posted 2 pictures as the others were full of the faces from Saylor's class that have not given permission to be posted on the blog. They had beautiful weather and lots of sun. Sunday (today) I graduated from Doane College with my masters degree, don't get too excited as I am not really finished with all of my internship hours. The ceremony was beautiful and the setting was gorgeous. It rained throughout the entire graduation but the speakers were great, and the honored people were truly remarkable ladies. Finally, also on Sunday was Tagg's piano recital for the year. He performed two songs, one by himself and one was a duet with his teacher. We knew nearly all the students performing so it was a fabulous way to end the weekend.

Washington D.C.

We traveled to Washington DC so Matt could attend the annual orthodontic meeting. At the meeting John was given a special breakfast to honor him for some of his work in the field of orthodontics, we were all able to attend! Matt and I were fresh off of being in tourists inn Paris and still had the drive to see everything, the kids did great being drug around the city. We saw nearly everything and tried to take advantage that all of the museums are free! Matt and I were blown away by the holocaust museum, although when we returned with the kids to see the kids area they were overwhelmed and uncomfortable. The 4 of us enjoyed the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, we watched where most of the money is printed, it is also printed in Fort Worth Texas, I was really hopeful that we would run into our friends, the Obama's, but it didn't work out even if our hotel was right by the White House. While the kids never felt the gravity of the what they were seeing, it was nice to be together as a family in the capitol city.
