Paris for the Pershing's

Matt and I went to Paris for my birthday. Yes, it was a beautiful city, especially in the Spring time, with amazing sites. The trip was planned out to be that we would arrive in Paris on Sunday morning and return to Omaha on Friday, meaning 5 wonderful vacation days. Surprisingly, the volcano eruption that left an ash cloud changed our plans. We were forced to stay in Paris, on vacation, until Tuesday, meaning we spent 9 days on vacation! While there was an aspect of frustration over changes in plans and missing the kids, part of me really felt like the luckiest person alive to have an extended vacation in one of the most outstanding cities in the world. Perspective is everything.

My birthday

It's not everyday that you turn 37 and this year was great! The weather was amazing and I enjoyed wonderful messages, phone calls and cards. Matt made me a brownie cake and we ordered pizza, just perfect!

Easter

We traveled to the sunny southwest for Easter vacation. We had such a great time with Dad and Donal! We felt so lucky to be able to spend tbe holiday together and attend Dad's church service Easter Sunday. It was the first time the kids met Donal, leaving me hoping they would make a good impression on him. As we drove home, I asked the kids what they thought about Donal and Tagg responded "He is Awesome".
